Hat Trick of Home Runs for Hudson
Thursday, July 20th, 2028
Fans are still buzzing after Allentown whipped the Topeka Tornados by the score of 8-2 today at Tornado Alley.
John Hudson smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the right fielder bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 3 times.
At the postgame press conference, Hudson said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is pretty great," Hudson said. "Three is just... wow."
John Hudson hit a three-run home run off Eric Hunt in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jon England in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Clark Edwards in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
Hudson is swinging at a .279 pace on the year with 12 home runs, 56 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has played in 78 games.
