No Hits for Evans, Streak Ends at 21 Tuesday, May 30th, 2028 Indiana shortstop Tommy Evans came into today's game against the Detroit X-Wings on a hot streak. When it was over, the X-Wings did their job very well. They beat the Indiana Hounds 6-5 and cooled him off at the same time. Detroit stopped Evans without a hit and his 21-game hitting streak came to an end. The 28-year-old Evans only had a few words to say after the game, "I had a chance to do it and I came up short." His manager commented, "What Tommy did was exciting and quite an achievement. It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 21 games in a row. I'm really proud of him. And I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play." |
