Brown Selected Player of the Week Monday, September 18th, 2028 In the twilight of his career, 35-year-old Carl Brown of Allentown recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the International League Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Brown told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Brown outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 15 hits in 30 at-bats, 4 home runs, and 14 RBIs to stake his claim to the award. This season Brown is batting .227 with 72 RBIs, 51 runs scored and 16 home runs. |
