ITL's #1 Player, Boyd of Tuscaloosa Monday, September 11th, 2028 Tuscaloosa fans have something to crow about today as Tuscaloosa shortstop Millard Boyd nabbed the International League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Boyd. He posted a .645 average (20-for-31) this past week with 6 home runs, 19 RBIs, and 15 runs scored. So far this year in 14 games Boyd is hitting .481 with 8 home runs, 29 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
