5-for-5 Day for Boyd Friday, September 8th, 2028 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Millard Boyd today. Boyd went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Portland pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Tuscaloosa Municipal Stadium, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers had a 15-12 victory over the Privateers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Millard Boyd singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Blankenship in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.
