Green Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Tony Green put on a hitting clinic today as the Penquannock Overrated Jeter dumped the Newark Bulldogs 15-5 at Newark Recreational Ballpark.

The Penquannock third baseman made Newark defenders earn their pay, lashing Newark pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Green said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Tony Green struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Currently Green is batting .347 with 5 home runs and 18 RBIs.
