Elazar Strokes 5 Hits
Ron Elazar told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."

Well, that's just what Elazar of the Moose Jaw Ghostbusters did against the San Diego Smashers. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a 8-6 defeat.

"Not much I can say," offered Elazar in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?"

Ron Elazar singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
