There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

John Major is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Gresham Gold Souls at Mohave County Field today.The monster effort from the 29-year-old first baseman helped the Houston Hammertime take the win, 11-6.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Gold Souls manager Rob Hanson. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

John Major singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Presently Major is batting .315 with 13 home runs and 65 RBIs. He has played in 72 games and scored 54 times.
