It was a good day at Bulldog Stadium. The Chattanooga Chinpokomon whipped the Topeka Tornados 13-2 and center fielder Martin Davis showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.

"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Davis told BNN reporters after the game.

Chinpokomon manager José Avilés told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 33-year-old "focused and patient."

"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Martin hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."

Martin Davis singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Thus far in 2028 Davis is hitting .223 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs, 13 runs scored and has compiled a .291 OBP.
