Cyclones SP Reyes Tosses Masterpiece
|
The Iowa State Cyclones rolled to an easy 10-0 win over the California Golden Bears at Cap Timm Field today. Leading the way to victory was starter Ray Reyes, who shackled the California Golden Bears and held them scoreless on a 1-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Reyes said in his postgame press conference.
So far this year Reyes has made 9 starts, tossed 51.2 innings, struck out 58 batters and walked 14. His record is 4-0 with a 0.52 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .154 batting average.
