5-for-5 Game for Brown Monday, July 20th, 2026 It seemed that Hartford catcher Steve Brown could do no wrong as the Darth Whalers kayoed the Fat Cats 4-3 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Ottawa pitchers couldn't get him out as Brown seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Darth Whalers were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Ottawa fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Brown in the postgame press interview. Steve Brown singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, walked in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th and doubled in the 13th. Brown is currently batting .455 with 1 home run and 10 RBIs. |
