Pittsburgh Sources Say Allen Gone as Manager Thursday, October 29th, 2026 Pittsburgh has fired manager Rick Allen. "We were not doing the things you've got to do every day," the Killa Beez general manager told reporters. "We saw that things were not going to change. We had huge expectations coming into the season and we did not live up to them." The current coaching staff will be assigned to run the ballclub in the interim until a new manager can be hired. Allen was told of his dismissal yesterday morning and was not available for comment. The Pittsburgh spokesman called it a "sensitive and emotional" meeting with Allen -- too sensitive to bring up whether Allen would be offered another job in the Killa Beez system. |
