Lugo Chosen 2026 SL1 Most Valuable Player Award Monday, October 26th, 2026 What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2026 Most Valuable Player Award in the Sub League 1. It had already been a very special season for Wapello's Oliver Lugo, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake. All season long Oliver Lugo gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .468 as he collected 29 hits, 2 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs and 27 RBIs. Jeff Forsyth of the Weslaco Chiefs finished second in voting, while Fernando Borges of the Roy Eagle Squadron finished third. |
