Castillo Raps Amity Gardens for 5 Hits
Friday, September 25th, 2026
It was a good day all around. Fort Collins whipped Amity Gardens 32-3 and Juan Castillo displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Bear Stearns Memorial Field. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Juan is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." The 20-year-old right fielder for the Commoners collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book. Juan Castillo hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Castillo is hitting .259 this season with 2 home runs, 22 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 162 at-bats.
