Red-Hot Hall Scorches Raiders Wednesday, May 12th, 2027 The Bishop Verot HS stopped the Randall HS Raiders by a score of 14-9 at Mudcats Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Jim Hall. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Hall said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Hall did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Raiders. "Not much that I can say," offered Randall HS manager Héctor Cruz. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jim Hall singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
