Hit Streak Now at 20 for Allen Monday, May 3rd, 2027 The Bishop Verot HS proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Red Wings 7-6, but Carson Allen continued his god-like hitting as he collected 3 hits and ran his hitting streak to 20 games. When asked about his torrid-hitting catcher, the Bishop Verot HS skipper said, "Allen is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Allen was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." Carson Allen tripled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th, singled in the 13th and flied out in the 15th. Allen is hitting .394 this season with 4 home runs, 23 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 28 hits in 71 at-bats. |
