Streak Finally Over, Músquez Held Hitless
Wednesday, April 21st, 2027
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Carlos Músquez as he saw his 31-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 5 at-bats at the hands of the Mountain Pointe HS. It wasn't all bad for the 18-year-old first baseman and the Temiskaming District Secondary School Saints, as they defeated Mountain Pointe HS 16-6 at Ballpark of Bethlehem HS.
When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Músquez laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."
This season Músquez is batting .324 with 24 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 12 times and has 14 RBI.
