Starr Batters Coweta HS for 6 Hits Thursday, April 30th, 2026 "It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Ronnie Starr after his 6-hit performance against the Tigers. "No offense meant to Coweta HS, but it was like I was back in little league again. I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Typhoons Ballpark." The Broken Arrow HS left fielder had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 6 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 11-10 victory. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Ronnie worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Starr said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Ronnie Starr singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Looking at his present stats, Starr has compiled a .294 batting average in 27 games with a .368 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 11 runs. |
