It's Over: Swamp Bats Stop Lima Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 The hitting streak that Indianapolis HS catcher Jesús Lima had going was ended today by the Jackson HS Swamp Bats. Lima, who had hits in his previous 24 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Chaos a 4-3 victory at Swamp Bats Stadium. He was hitless in 2 at-bats. "Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This year Lima is hitting .449 with 4 home runs. |
