Great Stroke: Storms Gets 5 Hits
Thursday, April 15th, 2027
Fans at Lindsey Nelson Stadium got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season.
The Tennessee Volunteers outplayed the Texas A&M Aggies en route to a 14-1 win, but the standout was right fielder Joe Storms. Storms netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line.
"Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Aggies manager Vic Rainville said in his postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too."
Joe Storms hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Pedro Alvarado in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
Presently Storms is batting .457 with 3 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 10 games and scored 6 times.
