That's exactly what Walton Locke did today at Dedeaux Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 17-2. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Locke said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Virginia Cavaliers third baseman blistered the Southern California Trojans for 3 hits, batted in 11 runs and scored 4 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Southern California manager Fred Hansen said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Walton Locke hit a three-run home run off Jeffery Young in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jeffery Young in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Charlie Ross in the 9th.
