Georgetown Manager Hester Gets the Boot Friday, June 12th, 2026 It came as no surprise to anyone in the press corps: Tim Hester was fired today as manager of the Georgetown Hoyas. His feuds with Hoyas players were one of the worst-kept secrets in baseball. Even through the closed doors of the manager's office, reporters often overheard shouting matches between Hester and players. Rumors that a recent argument between Hester and an unnamed pitcher degenerated into fisticuffs could not be substantiated, but there was no denying the acrimonious atmosphere that had developed in the clubhouse. Team insiders had been saying for weeks that it was only a matter of time before Hester would be let go. According to these insiders, the team has a replacement in mind, but will hold off making an official announcement for at least a day. |
