SP Michael Thornton Hurt Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Michael Thornton of the Musketeers knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Oregon Ducks while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn labrum, the Xavier starting pitcher is expected to miss 5-6 months. Thornton was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." This year Thornton has a 1-3 record and a 6.38 ERA. |
