Cornhuskers Lose Alfredo Pinto Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 Earlier today, Nebraska first baseman Alfredo Pinto had to leave the game against Mississippi State because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a fractured elbow and will miss 6 months of play. Pinto was hurt making a defensive play and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. Pinto is swinging at a .173 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 22 games. |
