Injury Takes Toll, Philippe Sauriol Out Monday, May 4th, 2026 The Oklahoma Sooners will lose the services of reliever Philippe Sauriol after he sustained a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. "I'll get through it," Sauriol said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 18 months. To this point in the season he has had no saves. Sauriol has made 9 relief appearances, tossed 13.2 innings and struck out 11 with a record of no wins and 2 losses. |
