Oregon Starting Pitcher Out
Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
It took the Oregon team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher Kirby Johnson won't simply play through radial nerve compression after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Panthers-Ducks game. At first, it looked like Johnson might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 5-6 months.
For the season Johnson has compiled a 0-4 record with a 6.29 ERA.
