Knight Swats 3 HR Against Notre Dame Monday, April 6th, 2026 Jim Knight, catcher for the Kansas State Wildcats, had a whale of a game, rocketing three balls out of Frank Eck Stadium against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish today in their 8-3 victory. After the game he said, "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them. The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves... all three were mistakes." For the game Knight was 4-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Knight added, "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives. Today I found the home run stroke." Jim Knight hit a two-run home run off Jorge Guillén in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jorge Guillén in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Guillén in the 5th, singled in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th. This season in 6 games, Knight has hit at a .409 clip with 9 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
