Franco No-Hits Saskatoon Thursday, August 5th, 2027 Excitement reigned at Filibertos Field today as Chula Vista Tacos hurler Andrés Franco tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the Saskatoon Smokin' Guns, 3-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Franco said. "Today I just went right at the Smokin' Guns as hard as I could, as long as I could." Franco chalked up 12 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Chula Vista manager Pedro Velázquez.
