Deleón Gone for Season in Colorado
Monday, June 21st, 2027
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now José Deleón of the Commanders knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Chula Vista Tacos while throwing a pitch. Because of bone chips in his elbow, the Colorado reliever is expected to miss 5 months. Deleón was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."

This season Deleón has been credited with 4 saves in 29 relief appearances. In 47.2 innings he has a 1-3 won-lost mark, 1.32 ERA and 66 strikeouts
