Clemente Nabs APL Weekly Award Monday, August 30th, 2027 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Appalachian League, but last week Jim Clemente of the Savannah Hogs reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Clemente rocked opposing pitching for a .391 average (9-for-23), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Thus far this year Clemente is batting .286 with 19 home runs, 72 RBIs and 69 runs scored. |
