Gómez: Big Hit in the Appalachian League Monday, July 5th, 2027 Ernesto Gómez stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Appalachian League Player of the Week honors. The Savannah third baseman ripped opposing pitchers for 13 hits in 30 at-bats and 3 home runs. He put together a sizzling .433 batting average as he knocked in 7 runs and scored 9 times. So far this season, Gómez has recorded a .278 batting average with 81 hits, 10 home runs, 44 RBIs, 55 runs scored and a .347 OBP. |
