Wilcox Slaps 5 Hits Tuesday, August 10th, 2027 Wisconsin Rapids third baseman Jacob Wilcox had a big day at Barnett Field today against the Bemidji Benders. The 20-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Rangers to a 9-4 triumph over Bemidji. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Wilcox said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Jacob Wilcox hit a two-run home run off Rafael Sánchez in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
