MSL Votes Meatheads Payne Top Player Monday, August 9th, 2027 The Midwest League has named its Top Player of the Week. The honor went to Cornell Payne, center fielder of the Manhatten Meatheads. In an extraordinary hitting display, he belted out hits at a .481 pace to win the award. Payne went 13-for-27 for the week, totaled 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 8 times. This season Payne is swinging the bat at a .278 rate with 130 hits in 468 at-bats. To date he has hit 13 home runs, scored 77 runs and driven in 63. |
