Hit Parade: Pérez Pops 5 Hits Thursday, July 29th, 2027 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Erie's 10-9 win over Minnesota today, center fielder Josh Pérez was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Empire Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Pérez said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Josh Pérez singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Luis García in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
