Brown Sensational, 5-for-6 Saturday, May 1st, 2027 Penquannock Overrated Jeter catcher Doug Brown had a day to remember at Halesite Grounds today, ripping apart the Kingston Iguanas and sparking the Overrated Jeter to a 16-3 victory. Brown wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Brown told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Doug Brown singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Sid Allen in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
