Daly's Hit Streak Over Saturday, September 11th, 2027 William Daly of the Rio Grande Rattlesnake came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 3 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 21-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Rio Grande dropped the game to the Butler White Sox 5-2. In a postgame comment Daly told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This year Daly is batting .272 with 12 home runs and 61 RBIs. In 126 games he has scored 98 times. |
