Injury Sidelines Michael Skinner for Season
Sunday, September 5th, 2027
The doctors have spoken and Michael Skinner of the Newark Bulldogs didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old right fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Skinner sustained his season-ending injury during the Butler White Sox game yesterday at Newark Recreational Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Newark medical staff reported Skinner had a torn posterior cruciate ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months.
A look at his current stats shows Skinner with a .309 average, 12 home runs, 50 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has played in 71 games.
