Tuzzi 5-for-5 Against Springfield Tuesday, August 24th, 2027 Newark center fielder Ángel Tuzzi added his name to the record books with a 5-hit spree at Newark Recreational Ballpark today, but found his special moment spoiled when the Springfield Simpsons took a shootout win over the Bulldogs. "I would have much preferred getting only a couple of hits and winning the game," he confessed to reporters afterward. "It's hard to go back into the clubhouse and celebrate a 5-hit game when you also lost." Bulldogs skipper Eduardo Lara called Tuzzi's game "a once-in-a-lifetime moment." "It's a shame the guy can't really enjoy it," he said. "It's also a shame what happened with our pitching today, but at least that we can try to fix." Ángel Tuzzi doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
