Boyd Nabs ESL Weekly Award Monday, June 28th, 2027 It was a fantastic week for Wilmington catcher Joey Boyd and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Eastern League Player of the Week Award. Last week Boyd hammered the ball at a torrid .545 pace, going 12-for-22 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Boyd is hitting .264 this year with 23 home runs and 57 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .317, 20 walks and scored 42 times. |
