It's not a common occurrence, but it does happen occasionally. West Virginia's bullpen specialist Ricardo Guichardo stood out so much that he was voted the Outstanding Pitcher Award by the Southern League. He hadno relief appearances and picked up no saves. The 27-year-old reliever went 12-1 with a 2.64 ERA. Cliff Long of the Beaumont Roughnecks finished second in voting, while Isaac Coleman of the Salem Silver Souls finished third. |
