Wednesday, September 1st, 2027
Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Bill Chase, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Culver City Extras reliever, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .154 average and walked away with the Northwest League Pitcher of the Month award for August.
Chase posted a 5-0 mark and a 1.11 ERA in no relief appearances. In 32.1 innings, he had no saves, 37 strikeouts, and 15 walks.
To date this year Chase has fashioned a 3.12 ERA over 135.2 innings with a 10-4 record. He has made no relief appearances with 149 strikeouts and no saves.
