NWL's Star Player Named Monday, July 26th, 2027 22-year-old Fred Abrams made a few Red Deer headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Northwest League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .464 average. Abrams collected 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Currently Abrams is batting .313 with 121 hits and 37 home runs. He has knocked in 100 runs and scored 71 times. |
