Moore Goes 7-for-8
Friday, September 24th, 2027
A jubilant Alan Moore joined the postgame press conference at Missions Ballpark today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the San Jose Missions pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Spokane Trappers first baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 7-for-8 hitting performance, which led the Trappers to a 28-5 win.

"He made it look easy," said Kip Rasmussen, manager of the Missions. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Alan Moore singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This year Moore has batted at a .335 pace with 76 hits, 8 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 32 times.
