Johnston Gets No-Hitter Against Las Vegas
Sunday, July 25th, 2027
In a dominant outing, Riley Johnston of the Santa Monica Bruins totally silenced the bats of the Las Vegas Stars, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the Bruins' 1-0 victory, Johnston faced only 27 batters, surrendered no hits, had 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning" Santa Monica manager José Vargas said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Brian Grant told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.

"The Bruins had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Johnston pitched a heck of a ballgame."

In 21 starts this season Johnston has chalked up a 6-4 record and a 6.20 ERA.
