Thursday, July 22nd, 2027
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
José Berroa discovered that today at Bill Robinson Field, as he smashed three home runs during the 7-2 Spokane Trappers win over the Mexico City Cerveceros.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Spokane right fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Berroa finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs.
José Berroa hit a two-run home run off Honorato Mota in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Honorato Mota in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Clint Tancock in the 7th.
So far this season Berroa has put up a .363 batting average with 102 hits, 13 home runs and 49 RBIs.
