Skipper Tanaka Shown the Door in Topeka Sunday, October 24th, 2027 "I'm just a scapegoat," said Hiroshi Tanaka to reporters in the stadium parking lot after the Topeka Tornados announced his firing as manager early today. "You think I did a bad job? It's the players who couldn't hit, couldn't pitch, couldn't catch the damn ball. And you can print that," he added, as he stamped out a cigarette and stomped off. Tanaka's replacement wasn't immediately named, but a Topeka official said an announcement could come as soon as tomorrow. |
