Cantú Earns ITL Player of the Week Monday, September 20th, 2027 Sixto Cantú must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .522 clip, then the Cape Cod first baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the ITL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Cantú batted .522 (12-for-23) with 6 home runs and 8 RBIs. Cantú on the season is hitting .329 with 35 home runs. His stats include 99 RBIs and 85 runs scored. |
