Clams Lose Rivera for Season Wednesday, September 15th, 2027 A blow for Claudio Rivera today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4 months with shoulder inflammation. Rivera suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Cape Cod Clams are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Rivera's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
