Takahashi Wins ITL Player of the Week Trophy Monday, August 30th, 2027 A battle-tested Yoshihide Takahashi declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 33-year-old Detroit right fielder collected the International League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .450 average, 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 5 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season Takahashi is batting .324 with 22 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 19 times and has 21 runs batted in. |
