Privateers José Balina to Miss Year Wednesday, August 18th, 2027 Earlier today, Portland left fielder José Balina had to leave the game against Wisconsin because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will miss 9 months of play. Balina was hurt running the bases and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. Looking at his present stats, Balina has compiled a .269 batting average in 91 games with a .358 on-base percentage, while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 52 runs. |
